ASUS has just announced the new ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua Edition graphics card. This new graphics card comes with a special heatsink with twin Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans.
The ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua Edition comes with fans decked in Noctua’s signature colours. The GPU comes with a 2.2-slot heatsink that has been developed by ASUS themselves and Noctua. It also has a large fin stack that connects to 6 heat pipes as well as a large heat spreader.
To prevent excessive airflow leakage, the ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua Edition touts Noctua’s NF-A12x25 which sits just 0.5 mm away from the outer frame. This is further helped by the use of Noctua’s Sterrox liquid crystal polymer.
Several technologies have been implemented to make the GPU run quieter including Noctua’s custom PWM IC with Smooth Commutation Drive technology, Flow Acceleration Channels on the tip of each blade, Inner Surface Microstructures on the fan frame and anti-vibration pads in each corner of the card.
This is not the first time ASUS has partnered with Noctua to release a graphics card as the two companies have previously released the ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition graphics card.
