Acer recently invited us for an exclusive hands-on look at the new Acer Swift 3 OLED which was announced recently during the Next@Acer 2022 event.

Acer Swift 3 OLED

The new Acer Swift 3 OLED, as with its namesake, comes with a 2.8K OLED display with 2880 x 1800 resolution, 500 nits brightness, True Black 500 and 90Hz refresh rate. It’s interesting to think that an OLED screen on a laptop was the epitome of ‘atas’ but nowadays OLED screens are becoming more accessible to users everywhere.

Internally, the Acer Swift 3 OLED also comes with up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 H-Series processor, Intel Iris Xe and up to 16GB LPDDR5 memory. You can definitely game and work with the Acer Swift 3 OLED with no major issues as the Iris Xe and the processor used are pretty capable of handling those tasks.

Acer has provided the Swift 3 OLED with a slew of ports in terms of connectivity. These ports include one Type-A USB port on each side of the laptop, two Thunderbolt ports, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. You definitely won’t have any issues connecting this laptop to any speakers or headphones, an external display or anything of the sort.

One thing I really like about the laptop is that the Acer logo is placed on the top section of the lid rather than the middle like other laptops. It’s quite unique to me and makes the laptop even more premium-looking.

All in all, the Acer Swift 3 OLED looks like a pretty sweet package, especially for those looking for a powerful and feature-rich laptop that is small enough to fit in a backpack, on paper at least. Acer also mentions that the Swift 3 OLED has a continuous 10-hour battery life though we did not get the chance to test that out during our hands-on session.
