Sony has launched the new Xperia 1 IV smartphone, which has been designed exclusively for individuals looking for the very best in smartphone technology, such as cutting-edge image technology, enhanced gaming capabilities, and strong audio features, all wrapped in a compact and sleek design.
To give creators the flexibility to capture a wide spectrum of footage, the Xperia 1 IV includes three lenses: a 16mm ultra-wide lens, a 24mm wide lens, and a new unique real optical telephoto zoom 85–125mm lens.
All lenses have a 12MP “Exmor RSTM for mobile” image sensor with a maximum readout speed of 120fps. This functionality enables the device to record at 4K 120fps for up to 5x slow-motion video recording, as well as Real-time Eye AF and Real-time tracking for still photography with all lenses.

The Xperia 1 IV additionally combines depth data from the 3D iToF sensor with AI-based subject detection for precise and accurate AF and tracking in low light.
ZEISS optics have also been tuned specifically for the XperiaTM smartphone. By eliminating reflections, the ZEISS T* coating helps to accurate rendering and contrast for all rear camera lenses.
The front camera also has a 12MP “Exmor RSTM for mobile” image sensor, which is a larger image sensor than the previous model. It can reduce noise in low-light situations and take selfies in 4K HDR.
The video capabilities of the Xperia 1 IV are unsurpassed. Sony developed the “Videography Pro” function, which centralises video settings, in response to direct feedback from video creators. Users may simply alter parameters including focus, exposure, and white balance while recording.
Due to the device’s capacity to record in 4K HDR 120fps video on all of its lenses, users may capture and playback fast-moving sequences and slow-motion footage at up to 5x. The new Optical SteadyShot with FlawlessEye makes it easier than ever to capture smooth, shake-free video.
The Xperia 1 IV also offers Eye AF and object tracking for video, allowing the user to maintain great focus on the subject while spending more time crafting their shot.

Furthermore, Sony put in a few features that would entice mobile gamers as well. A 120Hz display, 240Hz motion blur reduction, and touch-scanning rate are among the gaming features. Moreover, the game enhancer feature contains an L-y (low gamma) raiser, audio equaliser, and voice chat optimization to create an immersive gaming experience.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming processor is optimised for gaming performance in the Xperia 1 IV. It also offers a “Heat Suppression Power Control (H. S. power control)” mode that prevents performance and battery deterioration due to high terminal temperatures even while playing games or connecting a charger.
The “RT record” option on the Xperia 1 IV streamlines gaming sharing by allowing the user to record roughly 30 seconds before pressing the button.
Players can livestream their gaming to YouTube when using Game Enhancer on the new Xperia 1 IV. A player may read their audience’s comments even while live streaming, allowing them to connect with them in real-time.
The new Xperia 1 IV also allows for improved live streaming via a PC. It combines all sounds, including the player’s voice, game music, and voice chat with other players, and sends them to a PC via a single cable connection.

The 6.5″ 21:9 Wide display on the Xperia 1 IV delivers a truly immersive viewing experience, with a 4K HDR OLED 120Hz Refresh Rate display and no notches to impede the picture.
The Xperia 1 IV’s display is approximately 50% brighter and incorporates a real-time HDR drive for greater sight of both bright and dark areas, even in overly light conditions.
The Xperia 1 IV is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile platform, which supports 5G20 and Wi-Fi 6E, as well as 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM and a 5,000 mAh battery with 3-year battery life. Quick charge charges the battery to 50% in 30 minutes and features wireless charging capabilities.
The Xperia 1 IV is water and dust resistant to IP65 and has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and back.
