ViewSonic just released the LS500WHE and LS550WHE, their 3rd Generation LED projectors that are lamp-free that offer high brightness and energy efficiency.
ViewSonic states that both the LS500WHE and LS550WHE come with three very important features, Lamp Free, Mercury Free, and Maintenance Free. The LED technology found in these projectors uses nearly 50% less power when compared to other traditional lamp-based projectors.
Furthermore, the new LED projectors have a total lifespan of 30,000 hours without the need for regular bulb changes therefore less maintenance. Also, the LED light source is mercury-free and therefore runs down the risk of exposure to toxic chemicals.
Both the projectors feature IP5X dust resistance that helps maintain a clear projection image. They also have an instant power on/off capability that eliminates waiting time when powering on.
The LS500WHE offers a 360-degree tilt angle projection and can be placed either on the floor or the ceiling. Meanwhile, the LS550WHE is a short-throw projector with a 0.49 short-throw lens that is ideal for small spaces.
It can project a screen size of 100 inches from just 1.06 metres away. It also has an H/V keystone and 4 corner adjustment function that enables projection setup from the sides.
