vivo Malaysia has officially unveiled their latest flagship smartphones, the vivo X80 Series which includes the vivo X80 and vivo X80 Pro. Both devices feature an emphasis on photography as well as videography and feature a collaboration with ZEISS.
vivo X80 Pro

The vivo X80 Pro is the higher-spec device of the two and comes with many high-end specifications you would expect for a flagship of this calibre. The X80 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 12GB RAM (expandable 4GB), and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The X80 Pro also comes with a 4,700mAh battery keeping the lights on and features support for 80W FlashCharge wired charging and 50W FlashCharge wireless charging.
The X80 Pro sports a four-camera system on the back, including a 50MP Ultra-Sensing GNV Camera with OIS, a 48MP Wide-Angle Camera, a 12MP Gimbal Portrait Camera, an 8MP Periscope Camera, and a 32MP front camera.

The core upgrade that allows for video enhancement and stability is the 12MP Gimbal Portrait Camera, while the X80 Pro’s main camera also includes a customised Ultra-Sensing GNV Sensor to optimise reflectivity and reduce stray light, as well as a High Transmittance Glass Lens for low dispersion and temperature drift to reduce glaring.
The X80 Pro also includes vivo’s V1+ imaging chip and AI Video Enhancement, which enables the device to automatically transition between video HDR and night mode based on the situation.
Furthermore, Camera Panning is a unique and distinctive function that boosts the dynamic capabilities of this flagship series. It has portrait motion tracking technology that reduces motion blur caused by unsteady hands.
The X80 Pro’s Night Sports Mode helps users to shoot stunning, dynamic shots by capturing crisper photos even in severe situations because of its increased motion recognition features.
Finally, the X80 Pro has IP68 water and dust resistant rating, as well as a 3D Ultrasonic Large Fingerprint Sensor with a sensing area that is 11.1 times larger than standard single-point fingerprint sensors. Users can now unlock their phones in 0.2 seconds thanks to this new function. Secure two-finger authentication is also supported.
vivo X80

The vivo X80 features nearly identical specifications to its higher-spec brother with a few differences. One of the main differences is that the X80 sports a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC instead of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The vivo X80 also comes equipped with a smaller 4,500mAh with support for 80W FlashCharge.
The X80 also sports a 32MP face camera and a rear camera system that includes a 50MP Ultra-Sensing Sensor Camera, a 12MP Portrait Camera, and a new 12MP Wide-Angle Camera.

The X80 includes a new ultra-sensitive IMX866 sensor, which increases camera performance in low-light situations. It does, however, still feature the vivo V1+ imaging chip.
