Zepp Kuala Lumpur recently opened its doors here in Malaysia. Zepp Kuala Lumpur, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc, is located in the heart of the city centre and is part of the Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) development.

Zepp Hall Network, which has been in operation since 1998, has ten event halls in Japan and one in Taiwan, the Zepp New Taipei. The concert hall officially opened last May with a performance by local band Bunkface.

Zepp Kuala Lumpur is open now

This game-changing facility was conceived more than 20 years ago. There were no suitable standing music venues for mid-sized crowds of 2,000-3,000 in 1998.

Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc collaborated with Zepp to create a one-stop solution for concerts for artists from around Japan, in order to fill that vacuum and provide an alternate venue to the normally seated theatres for rock band performances.

Zepp Kuala Lumpur, which spans 6,500 square metres in the centre of Kuala Lumpur and has a capacity of 2,414 people, has some top-notch facilities that have become synonymous with the global Zepp brand.

Zepp’s latest venture comprises eight VIP boxes with private lounges and seating areas, as well as high-quality pre-installed lighting and audio equipment that simplifies rehearsal setups and helps event organisers save money on production expenditures.

“This all-new event hall will also act as a cultural exchange centre, not only between Malaysia and Japan but between Malaysia and Taiwan too. There is a strong synergy between Malaysian and Taiwanese music and we see huge potential here,” said Shinichiro Honda, Vice President of Hall Operation Division, Zepp Hall Network Inc.

We’re proud that with Zepp KL, we will be able to harness that potential by being the hub for all future collaboration opportunities between Malaysia and Taiwan, in terms of music.”

Zepp Kuala Lumpur not only hosts concerts but can also be used for corporate events, fashion shows, TV and advertising recordings, dinner events, eSports tournaments, or martial arts performances.
