Amazfit launched its new Amazfit T-Rex 2 smartwatch earlier today. The T-Rex 2 is a rough and tumble smartwatch that has been designed with durability in mind.

To demonstrate durability and versatility, the Amazfit T-Rex 2 was worn by wall climbing professionals at the launch event in Camp5, Sungei Wang.

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 has gone through 15 military-grade tests and has the ability to withstand temperatures as low as -30°C through its ultra-low temperature operation feature. This feature was put to the test at the launch event where  Country Manager of Amazfit Malaysia, Benky Lin broke a working T-Rex 2 out of a solid block of ice.

The T-Rex 2 also has a battery life that Amazfit claims can last up to 24 days as well as dual-band, 5-satellite positioning and route-import and real-time navigation. The T-Rex 2 is capable of withstanding not only extreme cold but also intense heat up to 70°C, has a humidity resistance of 240h, 96h salt-spray resistance and shock resistance.

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 also comes with over 150 sports modes from triathlon mode, running mode and even a golf swing mode. Users can also customise their own training template for 11 different apps through the Zepp app. The app also comes with over 10 mini apps for easier interactions. Users can also download many watch faces through the app.

Amazfit T-Rex 2 price and availability

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 retails at RM799 and comes with a one-year warranty. It is available in four different colour options; Astro Black & Gold, Ember Black, Wild Green and Desert Khaki.

There will also be a special promotion for the T-Rex 2 over at the from 6th to 8th July. The first 100 buyers of the T-Rex 2 will receive a complimentary Amazfit sports bottle and screen protector. There will also be a giveaway happening there with Powerbuds Pro, GTS 2 mini and Band 5 to be won.
