Boost Subsidises 50% On Groceries At Major Supermarkets To Ease Malaysians’ Burdens

In response to mounting concerns about the rising cost of living, Boost announced a 50% discount on goods, including eggs and poultry, for the entire month of July.

The subsidy is part of its current #BoostUntukRakyat alleviation programme, which aims to help Malaysians save money. Boost also invites Malaysians to recommend future assistance on Boost’s official social media channels.

Boost helps Malaysians with 50% subsidies on groceries

Throughout July, Malaysians can use 4,000 Boost Stars to redeem the #BoostUntukRakyat RM10 Partner Wallet credit for groceries on the BoostUP Rewards Catalogue, which is 50% less than the original 8,000 Boost Stars requirement.

Users can also redeem the RM10 Partner Wallet credit via FlexiRedeem using a combination of RM4.75 and 200 Boost Stars, for a straight discount of RM5 or 50% off. The FlexiRedeem feature allows Boost customers to redeem incentives using both Boost Stars and cash when neither is available.

Users can redeem the RM10 Partner Wallet credit by going to the FlexiRedeem section of the BoostUP Rewards Catalogue on the Boost app. After making your selection, tap the ‘Redeem Reward’ button to enter the desired combination of cash and Boost Stars to trade for the RM10 Partner Wallet credit, then click ‘Redeem Now’ on the ‘My Rewards’ page and enter the redemption code to complete the procedure.

The RM10 Partner Wallet credit will be valid for 30 days after successful redemption and has no minimum spend requirement.

The redeemed credit will be visible on the ‘My Partner Wallets’ page and will be automatically applied when purchasing eggs, chicken, and daily necessities from any partnered supermarket in West Malaysia, such as Lotus’s, Giant, Mydin, AEON BiG, Village Grocer, and others, as well as Bataras, Boulevard Sabah, Borneo Supermart, and others in East Malaysia.

Boost is now offering expedited Boost Star rewards through Boost Missions to make it easier for Malaysians to earn Boost Stars and redeem the RM10 Partner Wallet credit. Throughout July, each Boost app user may earn up to 2,000 bonus Boost Stars by completing the Bill Payment and Top Up objectives.

This is in addition to the existing 1 to 3 Boost Stars earned for every RM1 spent on a regular basis. During the monthly BoostUP Day on July 15, there will also be additional incentives and offers. Boost is available to download on Android, iOS and HUAWEI devices.
