Kingston has announced the debut of two new encrypted storage devices, the IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD and the IronKey Vault Privacy 50, which are ideal for enterprise users and content creators searching for data security.
IronKey Vault Privacy 50

IronKey Vault Privacy 50 encrypted USB drive with FIPS 197 certification and AES 256-bit hardware encryption in XTS mode for data protection. Passwords with Complex or Passphrase modes are supported by IronKey Vault Privacy 50 for Admin, User, and One-Time Recovery. The new Passphrase mode allows users to enter a numeric PIN, statement, or even a list of words ranging from 10 to 64 characters in length.
To regain data access, Admin can also enable a User and a One-Time Recovery password or reset the User password. Furthermore, the IronKey Vault Privacy 50 safeguards against Brute Force attacks by locking out User or One-Time Recovery passwords after 10 invalid entries in a run and crypto-erasing the drive after 10 erroneous Admin passwords entries in a row.

IronKey Vault Privacy 50 also safeguards against potential infection on untrusted systems by allowing both the administrator and the user to set Read-Only mode to write-protect the drive; additionally, the built-in virtual keyboard protects passwords from keyloggers or screen-loggers.
Through Kingston’s Customisation Program, organisations can design and configure IronKey Vault Privacy 50 with a Product ID for integration with standard Endpoint Management software to suit corporate IT and cybersecurity requirements.
Kingston’s IronKey Vault Privacy 50 is available in capacities ranging from 8GB to 256GB and is backed by a five-year limited warranty, free technical support, and Kingston’s legendary reliability.
IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD

Kingston’s first unique OS-independent external SSD with touchscreen and hardware encryption for data protection is the IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD.
The drive is designed to protect data while also being user-friendly, with a colour touchscreen and FIPS 197 certification with XTS-AES 256-bit encryption, and is ideal to safeguard against Brute Force attacks and BadUSB digitally signed firmware for users ranging from small-to-medium businesses to content creators.
IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD has extra data protection capabilities such as Multi-Password (Admin/User) Mode with PIN/Password options and Configurable Password Rules.

Choose between numeric PIN and Password modes, configure Configurable Password Rules, or enable extended security features such as maximum number of shared password attempts, minimum password length of 6-64 characters, alphanumeric password rules, auto-timeout to lock drive, randomise touch-screen layout, and Secure-Erase to ensure maximum files protection.
If the User password is forgotten, the Admin password can be used to recover data and access. IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD’s Brute Force attack prevention, by default, crypto-erases the drive if the Admin and User passwords are input incorrectly 15 times in a row.
The IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD is available in 480GB, 960GB, and 1920GB capacities and comes with a three-year limited guarantee and is supported with free technical support and Kingston’s renowned reliability. The external SSD comes with a neoprene travel cover and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 adaptor cables for connecting to PCs and other devices that support USB Type-C or Type-A.
