In the recent times, you may have noticed a rather bizarre move but to the gaming community, it sure is a good one. That is porting their famous, well received games on to the world of PC Master Race. While it is their first foot into the world of PC, Sony isnt backing out. In fact, the new Sony Inzone is their new Gaming Peripherals and Monitor brand that has solidified the ground that they are serious about it. That said, here are the new Sony InZone products that has made its debut today.

Sony InZone Gaming Monitor: Mind Blown

Sony has made two specific models for the Sony InZone Gaming Monitor: InZone M3 and InZone M9. Both the monitors have some impressive specification from the get go to tackle the current PC Market. Given that it’s coming from the same brand that makes the popular (and hard to get) PlayStation 5), they have managed to bake features from their consoles to take complete advantage of these monitors.

The InZone M3 is the Full HD Monitor with a 240Hz Refresh Rate. And coming in at 27”, this just might be the monitor a lot of people would opt in for, due to its price proposition. What makes this monitor rather unique in current market, especially in Malaysia, not only it’s an NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, but its also one of the very few to feature a HDMI 2.1 with VRR – that means, it’s a PS5 Ready Monitor. It does come with other certification that we are familiar with – DisplayHDR 400 with 99% of RGB color coverage.

InZone M9 is the crème-de-la-crème monitor from their lineup that has the best of everything that one would want in their gaming monitor. It’s the one, I’d personally purchase. It’s also an 27” Monitor but it comes with a 4K 144Hz Panel with full array local dimming and touts the DisplayHDR 600 certification. Not just that, hitting the DCI-P3 by 95% makes it one of the most color accurate displays in the market. On top of that, it is NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible and supports HDMI 2.1 with VRR.

Regardless of whichever model you go with here, Sony seems to be offering the same features on a platter and I mean it in a GOOD way. Both monitor comes with:

  • Built in KVM Switch and USB Hubs
  • 2X HDMI 2.1
  • 1X DisplayPort 1.4
  • Headphone Output.

For what it is, I am extremely sold with these two monitors, and it amazes me to see how Sony does a better job than many monitor brands to begin with.

Sony InZone Gaming Headset: Impressive too!

It’s not just the monitor that’s making its debut. Sony has also launched a new Gaming Headset lineup and it comes in three different models: InZone H3, InZone H7 and InZone H9. While we aren’t too sure what the existence of the InZone Gaming Headsets would do to the already available Pulse 3D in the market but it’s a question we will come back to when we review.

The InZone H3 is basically the entry model to the Gaming headsets and it’s the only Wired Headset among the three. There isn’t much to say about this particular headset as it hits the basic requirements of what a gaming headset should offer. Powerful Bass Frequencies, 360 Spatial Audio for Gaming, Boom Microphone and on board volume controls with software customizability.

1/3

InZone H7 brings wireless experience to the table without any clutters whatsoever. Consumers get everything from the H3 but now it comes with the wireless capability that gives you a battery life of upto 40 hours and with a quick 10 minutes charge, you can get an hour worth of game time.

InZone H9 is the flagship gaming headset. Think of it as the XM5 with a gaming look, as this is the only one in the series to flaunt Active Noise Cancelling. So that kind of brings the battery life down by 32 hours but for what it’s worth, this is the headphones for that uninterrupted experience.

Pricing and Availability

We have no idea if the INZONE Gaming monitors will ever make its way into the Malaysian Market as we have no news about it. But the InZone Gaming Headsets are coming to Malaysia and here are their pricing:

The InZone H3 and H7 are now available for purchase via Sony Official Store whereas the InZone H9 will be made available on a later date. It does come with a pre-order freebie where consumers will get Steam codes worth RM 50 or 100, depending on which model.
