Synology recently announced the new 5-bay Synology DiskStation DS1522+, the latest compact solution in its Plus line of all-in-one storage devices that help users of all sizes protect data, IT infrastructure, and physical assets in a professional and secure manner, while supporting a variety of business, IT administration, and productivity applications.
The DS1522+ works well as the primary storage option in smaller configurations or as an edge node in multi-site installations. It is powered by DiskStation Manager (DSM) 7.1 and has extensive data management, file sharing, collaboration, and video surveillance capabilities.
A fully expanded DS1522+ with two DX517 expansion units can dependably handle huge quantities of data while taking up minimum desktop or shelf space. A new network upgrade slot allows for 10GbE upgrades at any moment, while two built-in M.2 2280 NVMe slots greatly boost storage performance.
