Acer has just announced that they’ve given their Acer Aspire Vero laptops a refresh. This time the eco-minded laptops come with 12th Gen Intel Core processors. It also has Intel Evo certification with features such as wake from sleep in less than 1 second, more than 4-hour battery life from a 30-minute charge and more than 10 hours real-world battery life.
It comes with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, which is ample for daily use, as well as an easy-to-upgrade and repair design to extend device longevity. The new Aspire Vero uses ocean-bound plastic for its touchpad, with a novel surface treatment procedure that gives it a glass-like feel, providing users with a superior tactile experience.
The new eco-minded laptops include the VeroSense application for monitoring the device and an energy-saving mode to increase battery life. Following its predecessor’s footsteps, 99% of the 15.6-inch display panel can be recycled, while 30% and 50% of the Aspire Vero’s chassis and keycaps are composed of post-consumer plastic, respectively (PCR).
Furthermore, the packaging of the Acer Aspire Vero reduces the need for plastic and foam while yet safeguarding the gadget. The packaging is made of 90% recycled paper and can be recycled again if not sent to biodegrade. This is part of Acer’s ongoing commitment to supporting and growing the recyclable material supply chain. Moreover, the package can be transformed into an ergonomic laptop stand, storage tray, or nursery tray.
Acer Aspire Vero price and availability
The new Acer Aspire Vero is priced starting at RM2,599 and is available immediately at Acer eStore, Acer’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada, as well as authorised Acer resellers. It comes with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021.
Also, Acer Malaysia extended its trade-in programme through December 31, 2022, in connection with the release of the new Acer Aspire Vero and in support of the goal of developing environmental consciousness.
