ASUS has recently announced the new Zenbook 17 Fold OLED that includes a 17.3-inch foldable OLED screen, making it the first laptop in the world with a foldable OLED screen.

Due to its foldable capabilities, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED allows users access to two different screen size configurations. The first of these is a 17.3-inch 2.5K touchscreen with a 4:3 aspect ratio when folded out while the second configuration happens when the screen gets folded in half, offering two 12.5-inch 1920×1280 displays with a 3:2 aspect ratio. ASUS also says that the 180° hinge can withstand over 30,000 open-and-close cycles.

The foldable OLED screen on the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED has a 60Hz refresh rate with a 0.2 ms response time that is Dolby Vision-certified and has a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. The screen is also PANTONE Validated for colour accuracy and comes with TÜV Rheinland for blue light protection. The laptop also sports Dolby Atmos quad speakers by Harmon Kardon.

As for the internals. the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED touts a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16GB RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Other features include an HD infrared camera, a 5MP AI webcam with ASUS 3D Noise Reduction, an integrated colour sensor that automatically adjusts screen brightness and colour temperatures, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 75Wh battery.

The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED can be used in six different modes, Desktop, Laptop (with Bluetooth keyboard), Laptop (with virtual keyboard), Tablet, Reader and Extended. The laptop also comes with a full-size ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad and can be used with either of the featured modes.
