Logitech has announced the launch of its new Logitech G502 X series of gaming mice. An evolution of its popular G502 gaming mouse, the new series features a redesigned form and LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical switches. There are three different variants; G502 X, G502 X LIGHTSPEED and G502 X PLUS.
LIGHTFORCE switches are a microswitch technology that combines the advantages of optical switches with the critical actuation feel of mechanical switches. Optical switches provide fast speed, high performance, and long-term reliability.
To maintain that crisp feeling, LIGHTFORCE uses galvanic contact parts within the switch that operate similarly to mechanical switches. As a result, optical and mechanical triggers are engineered in tandem. LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches combine the benefits of crisp, tactile mechanical clicks with reliable, ultra-low latency optical actuation.
The Logitech G502 X features a redesigned, reversible, and removable DPI-shift button that can accommodate a wide range of hand sizes and grip styles and a redesigned scroll wheel with increased stability and weight. It also keeps the G502’s iconic dual hyper-fast infinite scroll and precise ratchet modes, as well as USB-C charging for wireless models and a thin-wall exoskeleton for weight reduction and maximum rigidity.
The G502 X also has a high-precision gaming sensor, the HERO 25K, with sub-micron accuracy and no smoothing, filtering, or acceleration. When combined with LIGHTFORCE, features 68% faster response times than the previous generation.
The LIGHTSPEED wireless protocol update also allows gamers to use the Device Pairing Tool in G HUB to connect two LIGHTSPEED devices to one receiver. The G502 X can be used with the same receiver as the Logitech G915, G915 TKL, or G715 gaming keyboards. Furthermore, the Logitech G502 X series is compatible with Logitech G POWERPLAY wireless charging mats for wire-free battery life.
The G502 X PLUS comes with LIGHTSYNC RGB with flowing 8-LED lighting that is customisable and adapts as the user plays, startup and power-down effects, and battery optimization through active play detection.

The Logitech G502 X, G502 X LIGHTSPEED and G502 X PLUS are available now with retail prices of RM319, RM549 and RM689 respectively. The whole series can be purchased through the Logitech official stores on Shopee and Lazada. All three mice are available in black and white colours.
