Kingston Technology returns to CES 2023 after a while since the pandemic took a toll on many companies. Among many brands that are now working to release products that fits the hybrid working schedule, Kingston is taking its storage game seriously for such situations. In fact, a secure memory is crucial to work with when you are on the move connecting to multiple devices, where some could be compromised, in terms of security. So, they have unveiled the Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50C at CES 2023.
Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50C
Kingston IronKey has been around for a while now and we have heard about the VP50, KP200 and VP80ES – which is pretty much an OS-Independent external SSD with the touch screen on it to keep things a lot secure. This time, the Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50C which they are unveiling happens to be the first USB Type-C secure storage solution. This is pretty good given that the whole tech space is moving more towards USB C.
The Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50C protects against BadUSB and Brute Force attacks with FIPS 197 Certified and XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption. It comes with a Multi-Password Option with Complex or Passphrase modes, so users can choose a numeric PIN, a sentence with space characters or even a list of words to protect their files – as long as it is hard for others to guess or find out.
On top of that, Kingston showcased their DDR5 RAM lineup – ranging from FURY Renegade, Impact SODIMM and even their new SSD lineup, Renegade SSD with heatsink.
There are no words on the pricing or the availability of the Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50C, but since it’s more of an enterprise product – chances are, you might have to order but we will get more information on it very soon.
