Predator Triton 17 X First Look

Every brand has its take on how monstrous they want one of their laptops to be – it essentially shows what they can do, even though it is a consumer product that can be purchased. Now, this particular laptop doesn’t scream anything out of the ordinary if you ask me – it does have the same Predator element in most areas – but there’s no denying the fact that this has to be one monstrous laptop. Here’s our Predator Triton 17 X First look.

It’s one Big Laptop

Predator Triton 17 X First Look

Truth be told, it is one big laptop and despite the thin profile, this laptop is one heavyweight. That’s because this entire laptop is CNC-milled and they have gone for a unibody design. Not just that, the laptop has stainless 304 steel mesh on all the speakers and a micro-etched logo which does look cute. It is a 17”-inch laptop, so the profile of this laptop is by no means small. It will take up space and it will perform like no other because…

It goes All out in the Performance Department

If you generally see a laptop this big and monstrous, you can guess what it has under the hood. This one rocks an Intel Core i9-13900HX processor with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, 32GB DDR5 RAM with 5600MHz and 4TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. This is definitely not the average laptop specification you witness every day.

Unlike their other laptops, this one uses a Vapor chamber cooling system paired with their 5th generation AeroBlade 3D fan with an optimized airflow called Vortex Flow that is insulated with thermal foam. The liquid metal thermal paste is capable of rapid cooling – but it’s a little early to tell as to how well the temperatures are maintained.

Display-wise, this beautiful Predator Triton 17 X comes equipped with a whopping 17” WQXGA 16:10 Mini LED Display that’s ready to blow anyone’s mind. It does have a 250Hz with 3ms response time – so, worry not – it is most definitely gaming-ready.

Honestly…

The Predator Triton 17 X is a powerful laptop that does go all out on performance and configuration. Now you don’t see a lot of over-the-top configurations which you do see in other laptops, that affect the form and function. This however retains the form and function of a traditional laptop and elevates the experience under the hood. But that’s a good way to get things going. What I find funny is the fact that the laptop has a full-size SD card reader, which of course is a yay but the majority of the editing suite-dependent users would want something small – so, it is a little funny.

Either way, if you want to go big, this is the answer you are looking for. But do stay tuned to us when we get more details about its local availability.
