You don’t need to have the top-tier materials for a router nor do you have to go for something that’s too overkill. Polycarbonate materials have been the staple when it comes to routers. And now, there’s a surging trend towards Mesh Router systems. The Acer Vero W6m combines what it does well – making eco-conscious products with the next generation technology to go along with it.

Acer Vero W6m Tri-Band AXE7800 Mesh Router

1/5

The Acer Vero W6m Tri-Band AXE7800 Mesh Router or Acer Vero W6m whichever you want to call it, is a mesh router and don’t be deceived by this lunch-box-or-tupperware-like looking router because it does have a feisty specification under the hood. This is a Tri-band router in the AXE7800 throughput range and since it is a Wi-Fi 6E router, there’s a good chance that your speeds are definitely kept up very well. Now pairing-wise, you could pair it with up to 4 routers and it covers up to 930m2 which is a whopping 10k sq. ft approximately.

They have gone with a MediaTek processor, a quad-core 2GHz A53 processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB memory, which is pretty decent. Because truth be told, this router with that specification should be able to handle demanding tasks without breaking a sweat. Interestingly, Acer is securing the security aspect of this router – by getting it EU EN 303 645 Cyber Security Standard certified. This is definitely a nice thing to hear because of the current data tampering that has been going on for quite some time.

Moving onto the build, this router is made entirely out of 30% PCR plastic with a cobblestone grey finish to make sure that it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb in an office or home. Truth be told, it is easy to mistake it for an Android TV box because it does look like one or even a Mini PC for that matter. But since eco-conscious is rooted in its core, the Acer Vero W6m Tri-Band AXE7800 Mesh Router has Eco modes for better energy consumption, sleep modes and so much more.

It sure is a nice router and it’s only a matter of time before it enters the Malaysian market.
