Both the Samsung Smart M8 and M7 have the following specification which is the same: The screen dimension is at 32” 16:9 aspect ratio with UHD panels that gives a 60Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time. You get the same smart features which is VOD, Workspace, My Content, and the ability to do Mobile Connection like Samsung DeX for instance and Video Calls via Google Meet. Not forgetting, it has a Far Field Voice mic to pick up your vocal commands from afar.

As for the port selection, it has 1x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB-A and 1x USB-C capable of 65W Power Delivery. If you want a built-in speaker, the monitor features 2x 5W speakers, which is decent but I’d recommend you to pick up a set of nice speakers which would benefit you a lot better.

There are some features or granular changes that set both the monitor apart. The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 has a 400 cd/m2 whereas the Samsung Smart Monitor M7 has a lesser 300 cd/m2 brightness. The M8 has support for HDR 10+ whereas the M7 gets the basic HDR 10 instead. If IoT features matter then the M8 is a better option because it has a built-in Zigbee/Thread Hub but the M7 requires a dongle. Finally, the M8 has a Slim Fit Camera which is included in the box but the M7 has a “compatible” POGO-ready camera which isn’t included inside the box.

And yes, since these are Smart Monitors, you get a Remote Control with USB-C charging capability.
