Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic First Look | Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Malaysia Price
To be honest, as someone who has used the legacy Samsung Galaxy Watch which came with that rotatable dial – it’s hard to switch to smartwatches that don’t have them. I am glad Samsung realized what a big mistake to not make it again and we finally see the beautiful rotatable dial smartwatches again – let’s dive into the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic First Look.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic First Look
Two Sizes and two Variants for Each

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic comes in two different sizes for different wrist sizes which is great. So, this time around, there’s the 43mm and 47mm. While the display is a whole lot bigger now, the rotatable bezel is a lot slimmer and yet still has that nice snappiness to it which I miss a lot over your usual touch interface. Now on top of the sizes that are available – both the watches are available in just Bluetooth configurations or with LTE and the latter does cost a lot (about RM300 more than the Bluetooth version). Something to take note of.
I’d say go with the Bluetooth variant as it suffices for most use case scenarios unless you happen to be the kind of person that leaves their phone behind and likes to do tasks on your watch – then I guess you can get the LTE(?)
Well Equipped in the Hardware Department

Hardware-wise, the displays are well equipped with the AMOLED display and come in 1.5” for the 47mm and 1.3” for the 43mm. The displays are covered in Sapphire Crystal, the premium kind of glass you’d find in more sophisticated luxury watches. So, it’s well protected from scratches etc. Under the hood, the watches are powered by Exynos W930 Dual Core processors with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
The Battery capacity varies across both the models: the 47mm has 425mAh and 43mm has a 300mAh battery respectively.
Bye Clasp Strap, Hello Traditional “Silicone-faux-leather-design” Straps

One immediate change we noticed with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are the watch straps. Gone are those Clasp based straps that were a part of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and its been replaced with the same Silicone straps as the Watch 6, however, it has these faux stitches that make it look as if it is leather. Honestly, I am not a fan of these straps and when I do get them, I am most definitely swapping to a nice Leather strap to have the best experience possible. There is no news on if Samsung will have some replacement straps, but we did see some displayed at the experiential session we were at.

One important thing about their current strap is that it no longer has the pull tab spring mechanic to remove and attach the straps. Instead, they have gone for an easy release with one button that retracts both the pin easily. So, hot-swapping to the straps you want is most definitely possible.
More focus on the Software for both Watch 6 Classic and Watch 6

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and Watch 6 have a heavy focus on the software as it makes up for the majority of the experience. TizenOS has been dead for a while and it’s been using Wear OS, specifically Wear OS 4 which brings more features and potential, all thanks to Samsung and Google’s team up to make it the most capable watches. On top of that, Samsung is elevating its health features with these two watches that now can-do Personalized HR Zones, ECG, BP, and Body Composition with no issues whatsoever.
