If there’s one series that’s worth checking out from DJI, if you want a camera that allows you to capture shots in any kind of situation – well, Osmo Pocket is your best bet. And the wait for the new generation is over. This is the new DJI Osmo Pocket 3 which is now available in Malaysia starting 25th October 2023. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 comes with proper improvements compared to its predecessor. Starting with the obvious, which is the new 2” OLED display which you can rotate vertically or horizontally and the bigger display is definitely a huge upgrade over the mini display of the Pocket 2. Secondly, the sensor gets an upgrade to 1-inch CMOS with the potential to record 4K 120fps, 10-bit D-Log M, HLG HDR, and keep up at night with better low light performance.
The 3-axis gimbal mechanical stabilization which we have seen with the predecessor is still present here, which helps you get steady images – along with ActiveTrack 6.0 which gives you follow modes, Face AF, and Dynamic Framing. The built-in three-mic array helps with reducing noise and captures omnidirectional stereo sound – which we have experienced with Pocket 2. On top of that, it comes with Glamour Effects 2.0, an automatic axis lock to protect the gimbal while storing.
The camera now has the potential to charge up extremely fast, by giving 80% worth of battery in just about 16 minutes. With a fully charged 1300mAh battery, the Pocket 3 gives you 116 minutes worth of recording time via 4K/60 and 166 minutes with 1080p/24.

As always, DJI Osmo Pocket 3 comes in two different configurations: you could either opt in for the normal package which comes with
