For the first time, the Xiaomi 14 Series Malaysia Launch happened in little over a week after its global announcement. Malaysia happens to be one of the first to get this new flagship series. While the Pro is exclusive to the Chinese market, we do get the normal Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra – here’s everything you need to know about the pricing, promotion and availability.

Xiaomi 14 Series Malaysia
Xiaomi 14
The Xiaomi 14 is their take on a small/compact flagship, aside from what Sony, Samsung and Apple offer. This 6.3” inch AMOLED C8 display phone runs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 12GB RAM and 2 storage options: 256GB and 512GB. It does come in three colours: White, Black and a new colour, Green for 2024.
On the back of the phone, the camera is a triple setup with a 50MP f/1.6 Light Fusion 900 Image Sensor, a 32MP effective Telephoto Sensor with f/2.0 and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2. Since it’s co-engineered by Leica, you do get that “flavour” from the German-made camera.
While it may be small, the 4610mAh offers a battery life that is sufficient to get through the day and to charge it up, you can use the included 90W charger that will get you to 100% in just 53 minutes. You do get other extra features that make a flagship, what it is: NFC, 50W Wireless Charging, USB 3.2 Gen 1 for fast data transfers – all that packed in this small phone.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra
For the most part, the processor and the RAM is pretty much the same as the Xiaomi 14 – however, some interesting differences make the Ultra tout the name. The WQHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display is curved and it’s much bigger at 6.8”, and the camera system on the Ultra is meant to shine brighter than the 14. The Quad Camera setup has 8 Aspherical high-transmittance lenses with all the coating for anti-glare, lens edge and IF light filter.
The main camera comes with a variable aperture which can go from f/1.63 to f/4 depending on your light condition. It’s also a 1” sensor with a 14EV Dynamic range and consumes less power than the previous one. And speaking of cameras, here’s the configuration:
- Main camera: 50MP f/1.63-f/4 LTY-900 1” inch Sensor
- Telephoto: 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX858 Sensor
- Ultra Wide: 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX858 Sensor
- Periscope: 50MP f/2.5 Sony IMX858 Sensor
With the Leica features in the camera app, this experience does get pretty interesting as you try it for yourself. On top of that, it does come with a Photography Kit which comes with a full-featured Camera Grip that connects via USB-C, Decorative Ring and a 67mm Filter Adapter.
Xiaomi 14 Series Malaysia Pricing
The Xiaomi 14 will be available in 256GB and 512GB for the following price: RM 3499 and RM 3799. If you are planning to get the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, it will only be available in one configuration and that’s 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, which will go for RM 5199 respectively.
