While the Fujifilm Digital side of things has been riding on a high, the “analogue” side of things happens to be pretty chill and they have unveiled a new camera that’s pretty decked out for an Instant Camera. Say hello to the new Fujifilm Instax Mini 99, now available in Malaysia and here’s a quick rundown on what you can expect from this camera.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 99

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 99 is the premium instant analogue camera they released when writing this. While it shares the basic idea with its other brethren, there are some added features to make it more customizable and fun to use.

The first dial is the Colour Effect control where you can choose from 6 analogue colour effects and this colour is achieved with the help of the colour-changing LEDs inside the camera to give you that photo which feels like “it’s giving”.  Then the second dial takes care of the exposure as you can either choose to make the photo you’d like to take darker or Lighter (total of 5 settings). On the front of the lens is the switch to give the “vignetting” feel to your images. Since it’s a toggle, you can choose however you want and it doesn’t limit the style of photos you take with just a single mode.

Other features that are made available with the Fujifilm Instax Mini 99 would be the Mode settings where you can shoot with the Instax depending on the setting you are in, like Indoor and Sports. There’s even a Bulb Mode, which of course you’ll require a tripod, to do long exposure. If double exposure is your jam, then you can hit the shutter twice to create such effects.

Finally, with the Lens Ring, you can switch between Landscape Mode which works best if the subject is 3 m away and Macro Mode if your subject is in the range of 30-60 cm. Finally, it does have Self Timer and Automatic Flash, which we have seen in some of their other Instax offering.
