Along with the HONOR Pad 9 which they launched earlier, HONOR Malaysia has unveiled the new MagicBook X 16 2024, to entice consumers with a budget-friendly laptop option and the HONOR Band 9 for those who are looking for a new smart wearable

HONOR MagicBook X 16 2024

HONOR MagicBook X 16 2024 is a very budget-centric laptop that might excite a lot of consumers looking for a budget-friendly laptop. It is a 16” Laptop with a 1920×1200 resolution IPS Display and an 89% screen-to-body ratio which is pretty big for most users on the go. Powering the laptop is a dated 12th Generation Intel Core i5-12450H processor and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, this laptop isn’t going to blow minds away but it’s going to suffice for most use case scenarios.

To go along with the laptop, you get Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6, support for HONOR exclusive software features such as Device Clone, Share, MSC and HONOR Connect. All of these features and hardware are enclosed in an Aluminium Alloy build. On top of that, it uses a 42Wh battery with support for 65W Charger included in the box, via USB-C.

HONOR Band 9

HONOR Band 9 is a rather simple fitness band that does the bare essentials to keep your health in focus. You get to view the band with the help of the 1.57” AMOLED Display, powered by a 180mAh battery, which can last up to 14 days. Expect it to do the usual tracking such as Heart Rate, Pedometer and SPO2.

There’s nothing much to say as it shares a lot of similarities with its predecessor. In terms of build quality, it uses an Aluminium Alloy Clasp and a Quick Release mechanism for the straps.

Pricing and Availability

The HONOR Band 9 is priced at RM 199 and the HONOR MagicBook X 16 2024 is priced at RM 2,999. Both of these devices will be available starting 25th April 2024 – alongside the HONOR Tab 9 which you can find out more about here. There’s a new smartphone as well, the HONOR X7b, which is priced at RM 899 – which is just another smartphone.
