Straight from CES 2024, where HP unveiled a legion of products for this year – we finally get to see the entire, well, almost, most of the devices here in Malaysia. That said, despite unveiling the HP Malaysia 2024 Lineup, we are going to highlight the ones we think are noteworthy.

HP Malaysia 2024 Lineup

Laptops

HP Spectre x360 14

While there’s nothing much to say about the HP Spectre x360 14, it’s because it’s still the 360-degree 2-in-1 laptop that we all know very well. But there are some improvements with the laptop for 2024. For starters, it has a 2.8K OLED display with IMAX Enhanced Certification for content consumption – surprisingly the first time we have witnessed on a laptop and of course, the 16:10 aspect ratio means that you get vertical real estate. If refresh rate matters, then you have a 120Hz panel that can scale down to 48Hz and go up, so it uses LTPO technology.

With the Intel Core Ultra processor, you get the AI NPU experience on top of the processing capabilities it touts. The 9MP camera now has better low-light capabilities for calls and the AI chip handles the security aspect of things like letting you know who’s snopping and even shut off as you walk away from the laptop. The audio tuning in these laptops is done by Poly, which is again the first time on a laptop.

The Pricing for the HP Spectre x360 14 starts from RM 7,699 onwards.

HP Envy x360

The HP Envy x360 laptop comes in two different options – well, you have the Intel Core Ultra powered laptops, which is going to give a taste of what Intel has to offer and their take on AI. Or you can go for the AMD powered laptops, which runs the Ryzen 7 8840HS under the hood with their flavour of AI under the hood. These laptops will pretty much have the same if not similar configuration as their predecessor with only spec bumps.

Pricing for the HP Envy x360 begins at RM 4,399 onwards.

As for the Rest…

HP Malaysia did showcase their other products like the HP ZBook series and even the Pro series, which gets upgrades to the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and other necessary hardware improvements you’d expect from laptops in 2024. But most models in these lineups are said to be available later this year with no pricing or availability information.

Gaming Laptops

Omen Transcend 14

The HP Omen Transcend 14 is a head-turning-worthy laptop as it is a gaming laptop with a similar profile as a thin and light laptop. But don’t let the dimensions and the size fool you as it does pack stellar hardware under the hood that’s worth talking about. For a gaming laptop, it weighs at 1.6kg and offers upto 11.5 hours of battery life. What’s more interesting is that it charges via USB-C PD rated at 140W which is crazy nuts. Powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and houses an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 under the hood, this is going to give that edge in gaming.

The 2.8K 120Hz VRR OLED Display aims to please with its colours and potential in gaming and it also happens to house the world’s first lattice-less sky-printed RGB Keyboard – which does justice when you see it in real life. The 14” laptop has a dual-channel flow cooling system with a Vapour Chamber system to keep the laptop cool, which was developed with Intel. You do get AI-centric features with otter.ai and Audio tuned by HyperX for the very first time on a laptop, like ever.

The HP OMEN Transcend 14 will be available via HP.com and starts from RM 7,999.

Updated HP OMEN and Victus 16.1

Both the HP OMEN 16.1 and the Victus 16.1 get improved specifications with 4th generation Intel HX processors under the hood and will start at RM 7,399 onwards.

If you plan to get any of these laptops, you can head over to HP Malaysia to learn more and perhaps own them.
