With the JBL Heart of Sound Malaysia Roadshow happening this weekend, till the 7th of July 2024 – the audio company has taken this opportunity to launch 5 new products – some upgraded and some completely new. So, we are going to give a quick gist of it as you can even experience it yourself during this Roadshow happening at 1 Utama.

JBL Heart of Sound Malaysia Roadshow

JBL Soundgear Frame

JBL Soundgear Frame

JBL jumps on the bandwagon of equipping the speakers onto the frames of the glasses and the JBL SoundGear Frame has this nice looking design going on. Two choices to choose from – rounded or square, it uses a 25mmX9mm dynamic driver instead of a bone conduction type of speaker, and has an advanced 2-mic array with dual-module environmental noise cancellation for calls, so that the person on the other end can hear you well.

It does offer 8 hours of listening time – and all you have to do is to open it to turn it on and collapse it to turn it off. Since it is more of a closed hardware, you do get IP54 and to charge, it has 2 USB-C, one on either side, and you will need to charge it separately (odd, I know). It’s priced at RM 999 but at the Roadshow, you can snag this for RM 699 which is probably the best price you can get these.

JBL Live Beam 3

JBL Live Beam 3

Following the same footsteps as the other JBL TWS with the display on it, is the JBL Live Beam 3 – this feature decked out earbuds – houses a 10mm dynamic driver tuned by their Signature Sound for deep bass, balanced mid-range and refined high frequencies. With ANC we are looking at 10 hours of playtime and without it gives you an extra two hours. However, the total battery life with the case hits a whopping 48 hours which is good enough for long listening.

Support for Multi-point, Google Finder, Audio Switch, 6 mics for better call and ANC, IP55, and the ability to take it up a notch with the app on your mobile makes it a versatile earbud through and through. Now the display on the case, gives you the ability to control the earbuds and tweak it on the fly without relying on your phone. Oh, it doubles as a notification control too. Cute.

For RM999 you are getting a nice value here – but to see how well it lives up to, it’s one we will only know when we review it.

JBL Xtreme 4

JBL Xtreme 4

So, for those who go “Where are my Party people at?!” – this JBL Xtreme 4 is for you. This speaker is big, has a strap for you to wear around your shoulders and heck, has a bottle opener on the end – which is truly a party speaker. Under the closed area, you will find the ports and connectivity you need and this monstrous 2x 70mm woofer, 2x 2.75” and 2x 20mm tweeter-filled speaker makes sound so good that your neighbours will call the cops on you for having the best kind of party.

The battery inside of it gives 24 hours of battery life, and supports Bluetooth 5.3 and their first ever Auracast where if you have other Auracast speakers, you just have to hit the button, it automatically daisy chains with the other speakers and your music experience gets amplified.

All that for RM 1799 is pretty cool.

JBL Clip 5 and JBL Go 4

Finally, for those beach bums or if you are someone wants a small and effective speaker to take on the move – you have the JBL Clip 5 which comes in 6 colours and the JBL Go 4 which comes in 4 colours. Simple and straightforward speakers that effectively work for your daily portable music experience. Gets that IP protection, sounds decent and costs a lot less with the Go 4 priced at RM 299 and the Clip 5 for RM 349.

The best part, it supports JBL Auracast too. So, seriously, go to the Roadshow or check out the JBL Online Store to get your hands on these speakers – but honestly, you get better deals and prices at the roadshow happening at 1Utama. Don’t miss it.
