Out of all the products Samsung announced during the Galaxy Unpacked at Paris, the one product that feels like a device that didn’t require a successor is the new generation of Watch. In this Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Impressions, we will tell you why.
Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Impressions
Really Minor Changes

Trust us when we say this – the changes with the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 are at a minuscule level. You do get this new strap which we have seen before with the Galaxy Watch FE, that’s not here in Malaysia. But that said, as for the rest, you get the same two size options – 40mm and 44mm, both covered in Sapphire Crystal and weighing 28.8 grams and 33.8 grams.

Under the hood, you get a 300mAh battery for the smallest size and 425mAh for the bigger one. It comes with the new Exynos W1000 Processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB Storage. Since it uses a new processor, for the first time, we get Galaxy AI on our wrist which works with messaging and other tools. Speaking of tools, the tracking for health and the gesture controls are here – the same as its predecessors.
No BioSensor2 for Watch7

The biggest deal breaker for Galaxy Watch7 is that it doesn’t get the new BioActive Sensor 2 – and still retains the older BioActive Sensor. Now it’s not that it’s bad, but the problem is, with just the processor change and the new strap, the Watch7 sees a whole lot less of an improvement in and out. This is why, usually, we don’t jump to conclusions – but this time we are and it’s…
Conclusion: Save your money and get the Watch6 or the Classic

Just because the Watch7 has a new processor and a strap will not justify its price. While sure it is the latest wearable in the market as we speak, the Watch6 and Classic will still be available – perhaps at a much more discounted price tag. So, it’s safe to say that you can pick up the 6th generation Watch or even the Classic since it has the rotatable dial.
