During the Computex 2024, we witnessed the arsenal of AI-powered laptops and the very first wave of Snapdragon X Elite-powered laptops as well. One of them happens to be the ASUS Vivobook S 15, which is now in Malaysia and here’s what you need to know.
ASUS Vivobook S 15 Snapdragon X Elite Malaysia
To be honest, most of what you see here with the ASUS Vivobook S 15 Snapdragon X Elite version, shares a lot of similarities with the normal ASUS Vivobook S 15 in looks and the hardware department, sans the processor. So, we are talking about 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, 32GB RAM, 15.6” 3K 120Hz ASUS Lumina OLED Display, solid port selection and a much-upgraded build that we enjoyed with the non-Snapdragon X had.
But unlike any other laptop, Microsoft’s involvement seems to be pretty serious here as these Snapdragon X Elite laptops are the first wave of laptops to support ASUS Windows Copilot+ – which means you get a lot of the AI tools readily available in the laptop. All possible because of the 45 TOPS Neural Engine baked right into it. There are some software tools such as StoryCube, Windows Studio Effects v2, AiSense Camera, Live Captions and Adaptive Lock which take advantage of the hardware the Snapdragon X Elite brings to the table.
