We were left off on a high at the end of Season One with Luffy and the gang heading out into the open sea with renewed vigour and tighter bonds. One Piece Season 2 promises great things, as manga readers and anime watchers anticipate the appearance of characters like Robin and Chopper. Whilst we await the grand reveal of these two beloved characters, let us welcome the fresh faces that have been revealed thus far.

Who’s Joining and Who’s Staying?

One Piece Season 2 Miss Wednesday

For watchers of Bridgerton on Netflix, we shall once again be graced with the lovely Charithra Chandran, following her exit from Bridgerton’s Season 2. After playing the sweet Edwina Sharma, I’m curious as to how she will handle the role of Miss Wednesday. Avid fans of Game of Thrones will also be thrilled to know that Clive Russell (Brynden Tully) will be part of the One Piece Season 2 cast as Crocus.

Joining them will be Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra. Better known for his role in Do Aur Do Pyaar, he’s also starred in shows like Heroes, Beauty and the Beast and Covert Affairs. Then there’s the lovely Katey Sagal who will be playing Dr. Kureha, whom some may recognize as Leela from Futurama or Cate Hennessy from 8 Simple Rules. Mark Harelik from Presumed Innocent will also be joining in as Dr Hiriluk.

Godoy will be reprising his role as Luffy, alongside his trusty crew, Mackenyu as Zoro, Rudd as Nami, Romero as Usopp, and Skylar as Sanji. Additionally, Morgan Davies will be returning as Koby, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Vincent Regan as Admiral Garp, Langley Kirkwood as Captain “Axe Hand” Morgan and Steven Ward as Dracule Mihawk. We also haven’t seen the last of Buggy the Clown, Alvida and Klahadore, with Jeff Ward, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, and Alexander Maniatis returning to helm their roles respectively.

Surprise, surprise, McKinley Belcher III is also returning as Arlong, Craig Fairbrass as Zeff, Peter Gadiot as Shanks, and Michael Dorman as Gold Roger.

When is One Piece Season 2 Airing?

This star-studded cast is ready to sail the high seas as One-Piece Season 2. However, there’s no specific date given for airing, because the show is still currently being shot in Cape Town, South Africa, and I hope it’s worth the wait.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to catch up or haven’t given it a shot, you may head on over to Netflix to watch all 8 episodes of season 1. Re-watchers looking to kill some time till Season 2 of the live-action may want to binge the anime version of One Piece which is also available on Netflix. In the meantime, stay tuned as we bring more information as time nears – here at The Adventures of Vesper.
