Fujifilm’s Instax lineup is a fan favourite for nostalgic reasons and they have been taking the digital route with these cameras, so consumers could have more fun with it. That said, they have made devices to bring digital images to be printed out onto instant photo prints making them more friendly to use in this digital age. That said, the new Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 3 is here in Malaysia and here’s what you can expect from it.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 3 is the successor to the 2nd generation but with some interesting improvements. For one, the form factor appears to be the same as before, on the front you have LED indicators hiding under the Instax logo and on the side under the flap is the USB Port for charging. That said, this device links to your smartphone and you can print images however you like.
Some features make the Instax Mini Link 3 unique: for instance, with the support for Instax AiR Studio, you can play with multiple AR effects and use those to create images to print out on the Instax. The ability to add QR to the printed photo to play a video, remote live feature through the app and even use the printer’s power button as a shutter release – makes the entire printer work with the App too well.
For those who want to make collages or relive the photobooth experience of taking multiple photos and printing in one film (which also saves you a lot of penny and dimes from spending on more Instax Films), this feature is made for them – with Click to Collage – users can take photos at 3-second intervals and make their collage photo. Since it’s supposed to be a fun printer, you have other features that are more of a party trick but it’s nice to know that consumers getting this will be occupied with the Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 3.
Pricing and Availability
The Fujifilm Instax Mini Link 3 is priced at RM 628 and it’s available as a Fun Kit bundle which comes with 2x Instax Mini Films which is now available for purchase. There are new products announced alongside the Link 3 – like the new Instax mini Sprinkles film, and some printer accessories that are sold separately to keep the printer and photos you print safe.
