ASUS have unveiled their “AI-Powered” Zenbook, Vivobook and Expertbook P-Series, this time powered with the latest Intel Core Ultra 200V, which also goes by Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 2 or Lunar Lake (Talk about Intel naming scheme). But that said, here are all the laptops – which we will go through briefly as they are making their way into Malaysia soon.
ASUS Intel Core Ultra 200V Laptops Coming to Malaysia Soon
- ASUS Zenbook S 14 UX5406

Starting with the ASUS Zenbook S 14 UX5406, a laptop we have seen before as it shares the same design and build as the Intel Core Ultra Series 1 powered laptop. That said, you get all the goodness of what a Zenbook entails: that light 1.2kg build, 1.1cm profile and covered in Ceraluminum – which is ASUS’ way of saying Ceramic and Aluminium. Everything you have seen before is present here, like the 16:10 display, 72Wh Battery and so on.
Under the hood, this laptop will be one of the three to get the Intel Core Ultra treatment, more specifically the Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor Series 2, which now achieves 48 NPU TOPS, making it more capable for AI tasks.
- ASUS Vivobook S 14 S5406SA

The second laptop which will get the Intel Core Ultra treatment will be the ASUS Vivobook S 14 S5406SA, and it will be touting the Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor Series 2 with upto 47 NPU TOPS. And since we have reviewed the laptop with Series 1 in the past, we do hope that the Series 2 still gives us that endurance we loved about with the previous laptop. Under the hood, it houses a slightly bigger battery than the Zenbook, at 75Wh. As for the rest of the laptop, it weighs 1.3kg with a 1.39 cm thin, all-metal chassis and hits a maximum TDP of 35W.
- ASUS ExpertBook P Series

Finally, a laptop we didn’t get to check out for a while now and got quite the overhaul in the design department. Which makes the laptop look more like a Vivobook and ASUS Pro laptop. That said, under this series, commercial users have the option to choose between ExpertBook P5 P5405 and ExpertBook P1 (P1403/P1503). That said, these laptops are designed to perform slightly differently as ASUS made them to be more secure.
It has Multilayer Security extending to the BIOS level, for Secure Book and with dTPM, it helps guard against unauthorized interventions at startup. On top of that, you have ASUS AI ExpertMeet tools for that “AI” Experience – for example, AI Translation, AI Subtitles, and Assisted Meeting Summaries – just to name a few.
When is it Coming to Malaysia?
At the time of writing, ASUS Malaysia has announced that the following laptops are about to make their debut soon, with no date set. But expect it to be soon as the Series 1 laptop was made in Malaysia a lot earlier this year, which happened right after CES 2024. But stay tuned to us as we will update you with more information.
