The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is a phone that was rumoured to arrive for a while now and it’s finally out in the open. That said, the brand has finally given the attention to the Fan Edition smartphone, that it deserves and has improved quite a fair bit. So, bye to the unrefined finish and hello to this new refined version, which we will discuss in this Samsung Galaxy S24 FE First Impression.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE First Impression
Refined Finish with Glass and Aluminum

Gone are those glass-tic and even last year’s S23 FE, which used proper Gorilla Glass felt more plasticky than glass. Making matters slightly worse was the unrefined and unpolished metal rails we weren’t a fan of. But that’s gone with the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE because it has a much more polished, curved, and matte finish aluminium rails which is far more comfortable to hold in the hand. The glass, although it’s glossy, a skin could easily fix the way it looks.
So, it’s safe to say that they finally listened we even mentioned in our review last year that the FE deserves the attention and care. We believe that it’s not the S Series or the Z Series that welcomes consumers into the Galaxy Ecosystem but it’s the FE that did it.
Bigger Display, Similar to S24+

All these while, the Fan Edition has always rivalled the little brethren of the S Series. That rivalry and threat to the small S series smartphone ends today as it now fights with the S+ variant. In this case, it has received a bump from 6.5” to 6.7” in the display department, with Dynamic AMOLED 2X that hits 1200nits peak brightness. It’s still FHD+, so you are still getting a fine display.
Gets the Galaxy AI Experience

The Fan Edition is not left out of the Galaxy AI experience as the phone now offers all the AI experience we have seen in One UI 6.1.1 with the Galaxy S24 FE. Be it from the image generation, voice recording, translation and the list goes on. You can find all of that here. On top of that, the FE will get 7 years of major OS upgrades and security upgrades too.
Spec-wise and Other Improvements

Specification-wise, there are some improvements. Up till its predecessor which usually gets an older processor, is no longer the case anymore as the FE now features this year’s Exynos 2400e (where the e could either stand for efficiency or enhanced) with 8GB RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB and 512GB. The Vapor Chamber in the phone has increased by 11% from the previous smartphone.

The battery has also gotten a bump from 4500mAh to 4700mAh, which is 100mAh less than the S24+. You get all the IP68, Knox Support, and triple camera support: which consists of 50MP f/1.8, 12MP f/2.2 and 8MP f/2.4 – all of them are proper functional cameras ranging from telephoto, wide and ultrawide. The front camera is now at 10MP with f/2.4.
Personally…

This is the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, I have been waiting for far too long. The injustice Samsung did to the previous generations has finally come to an end and we have finally flipped the page for a new chapter. Now, performance-wise and experience-wise, we can’t comment much but for that, we’d suggest you stay tuned to us as we will most definitely review it.
