The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Series went through quite a delay and after all of that, it’s finally here and with some interesting choices, which we will address in this Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and S10 Ultra First Impression.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and S10 Ultra First Impression

Now only in Two Dimensions

Samsung has ditched the smallest Tab in the S Lineup and retailed the S10 Plus and S10 Ultra which is a bit of a shame. This means, consumers who want the 11” goodness, will have to resort to the Tab S9 which is still available in the Market. That said, the S10 Plus comes in 12.4” and S10 Ultra at 14.6” with a 16:10 aspect ratio and features a 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, now with anti-reflection coating. The S10 Plus hits 650 nits whereas the S10 Ultra hits 930 nits.

Dimensity 9300+ Performance

For the first time from Samsung, we have finally witnessed a flagship device, in this case, a tablet to run the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300+. Samsung confirmed that this is the reason why the delay happened due to the internal testing and realization of how well the Dimensity performed. It also gets 1.48 times bigger Vapor Chamber cooling from the previous generation.

Some Slight Improvements and Specifications

For the Malaysian market, we are limited to the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant. However, you can expand the memory with the help of a MicroSD card which supports upto 1.5TB. There are two variations available: WiFi and with Cellular, so makes life easier to pick the right tablet from the get-go. Only the Ultra gets WiFi 7 whereas the Plus gets WiFi 6e which is still a fast WiFi standard today.

On the back, both the tablets house a dual camera setup with 13MP and 8MP. The Ultra features a dual 12MP front camera whereas the Plus has a singular 12MP sensor. Both the tablets will support 45W Fast Charging and the battery capacity is at 11200mAh for the Ultra and 10090mAh for the Plus. So far, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra have granular improvements but in the right direction.

Pricing and Availability

As for the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus with WiFi goes for RM 4,599 and Cellular for RM 5,249. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra with WiFi on the other hand, starts at RM 5,999 and maxes out at RM 6,649 for the Cellular. At the time of writing, Samsung is offering Free Book Cover Keyboard Slim worth RM 949 and an instant RM 500 trade-in rebate as well.

We can’t wait to review and test out the Dimensity 9300+ on the Samsung Tablet, and more specifically, on the S10 Plus. Till then, stay tuned.
