With Snapdragon Summit out of the way and the announcement of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite, the flagship processor for 2025, we are seeing more smartphone manufacturers jumping on the bandwagon faster than ever before. That said, with the Xiaomi 15 Series, namely the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro making its debut in China this 29th of October, we finally get to see the renders of the upcoming flagship that’s about to get our attention for the right reasons.
So, here’s your first look at these two flagships from Xiaomi.
Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro Official Renders
For 2025, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro retain a similar dimension and look in more ways than one. However, it appears that we are finally getting a matte finish metal rail with a frosted glass backing – which means, goodbye to the fingerprint magnet finish for good. The Xiaomi 15 Series will be the first ever to tout an Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor from the flagship series as the 14 uses Optical instead.
The other noticeable change is the flash of the camera, now moving outwards and if you look closer at the 15 cameras, we are getting a slightly different configuration of VARIO-SUMMILUX, and that is 1:1.62-2.2/14-60ASPH. Instead of the 1:1.6-2.2/14-75ASPH. That’s present in the Xiaomi 14 Series. This means we are getting a shorter telephoto at 60mm instead of the longer 75mm.
The 15 Pro gets, what appears to be a Periscope camera with 1:1.44-2.5/14-120 ASPH configuration. We aren’t too bothered about the Pro as it doesn’t make it into the global market due to its exclusive retail in China. But we have yet to see the Ultra – so, time will tell us what to expect. This is all the details we see so far with the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro.

Since we don’t have a global launch just yet, which will happen next year – sometime in March or possibly earlier – there is a high chance we will see the 15 making it into Malaysia as the 15 Pro is a China-exclusive variant. So, stay tuned to us when that happens.
