The biggest booth this time around at Gamescom Asia 2024 happens to be CAPCOM with 5 games showcased on the B2C floor and not to forget, with the CAPCOM Pro Tour, it was even more interesting to see what was going on. That said, for those who are into the games here at Gamescom Asia – here’s what CAPCOM had at their booths.
Gamescom Asia 2024 CAPCOM
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
A game that was out in July 2024, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a game I am glad they had a demo for because it was unlike any other games I have played in the past. The experience of this Kagura action strategy game isn’t just a game but an experience worth your time. From beautifully orchestrated music to combat that’s bound to mesmerize – you are in for a wonderful ride. You can read more about our experience with the demo by clicking here.
At the time of writing, CAPCOM is offering a 20% discount on the game – which is a pretty good deal.
Marvel Vs Capcom: Fighting Collection
While the Marvel Vs Capcom concept isn’t entirely new, what you are experiencing is the ability to re-live your younger days playing arcade games on your modern system – be it Switch, PS4/5 or XBOX which is set to get the game in 2025. That said, you get to pick between 7 titles – X-MEN: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel VS Capcom, Marvel VS Capcom 2, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter and The Punisher. Check out the cheat sheet we found at the event below.
You can click here to get your hands on the game if you are keen.
Street Fighter 6
In conjunction with the CAPCOM Pro Tour for Street Fighter 6, it only makes sense to find the game on the floor as a demo after all. It’s available for purchase, but I feel like the game is the best experience in a multiplayer setup – which is exactly what CAPCOM did on the floor. You can play the game on almost all platforms sans Nintendo Switch. With the Year 2 pass out now, there are 4 new characters for you to play with: M.Bison, Terry, Elena and Mai – which is set to launch during every season starting from Summer of 2024 all the way to Winter 2025.
DRDR: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
The 2006 hit game Dead Rising which was published under multiple publishers – got a Remaster in 2024. But this time, we are getting a Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster – which you can purchase as we speak as the game came out in September 2024 with plans to give more content as well. One of them being Costumes and BGMs from other franchises owned by CAPCOM.
And Finally, Monster Hunter Wilds
One of the highly anticipated games that’s coming out in 2025 – this was the star of the show. The Monster Hunter Wilds is supposed to bring a dynamic environment with a plethora of monsters that will give you a tough time – in harsh lands or vibrant ones. That said, the whole idea of playing as this Professional Monster Hunter has not changed, and with that hunting skills, you bring resources which would help you to hunt even more efficiently and embark on the journey of exploring the unknown. We will talk about this game and the demo we experienced in another article.
Thanks to CAPCOM and Gamescom Asia 2024 for giving us the Booth Tour.
