Virtual Reality might be an acquired taste, but Sony has been at it with their PlayStation from generation after Generation. The PlayStation VR2 was made available in Malaysia in 2023 and little over 2 years since its announcement, the PlayStation VR2 gets a price cut, making it even more affordable for players to own one.

PlayStation VR2 Malaysia Price Cut

At the time of the initial announcement back in late 2022, the PlayStation VR2 was coming to Malaysia in two offerings: one with just the headset and controllers and then the bundle with Horizon Call of The Mountain – both were available for RM 2,799 and RM 200 more for the Horizon Bundle, setting it at RM 2,999. Both sets do not include the charging cradle for the PlayStation VR2 Sense Controllers, which is sold separately for RM 229.

But starting March 2025, SIE has announced that both the bundles will receive a price cut, a permanent one – making these headsets easy to acquire. Both the bundles have received price cuts: the PlayStation VR2 which includes the headset, Sense controllers and stereo headphone is now RM 2099 (RM 700 discounted). What’s more interesting is that the PS VR2 with Horizon Call of the Mountain is going for RM 2,099 (RM 900 discounted), making the bundle more appealing as it comes with a game for you to experience VR almost immediately.

But even if you don’t own a PS5, with the help of the PS VR2 PC Adapter, sold separately – it will allow you to use the headset with Steam – but too bad, as the PC Adapter isn’t available in Malaysia at the moment. As for PS5 owners, you can enjoy other games which offer immersive VR experiences such as Alien: Rogue Incursion, and Metro Awakening VR and titles that are on the way like Aces of Thunder, Hitman World of Assassination and The Midnight Walk just to name a few.

+So, why not pick up one and enjoy those VR games on your PS5?
