With the Poco F7 Series launch, the phone that caught our attention is not the Poco F7 Ultra, which of course we are using it for a review soon – it’s the more price-to-value configuration, the Poco F7 Pro, which they unveiled alongside the Ultra. And for RM 2,299, you are looking at a pretty great gaming phone, after all.
Poco F7 Pro Malaysia
The Poco F7 Pro houses the year-old yet amazing Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is still a pretty capable processor in 2025 and performs without breaking a sweat (coming from someone who is using the Xiaomi 14 in 2025). As for the RAM, the phone limits at 12GB for both storage configuration: 256GB or 512GB – which in all honesty is a good thing and it’s still plenty more RAM for an android smartphone.
On the front, you find the phone equipped with a 6.67” 2K 120Hz AMOLED display, which is going to blow your mind away for what it is. While it misses out on the VisionBoost D7 Chipset, which the Ultra gets, the experience you get with the display is still one of the best POCO could offer, with higher peak nit brightness at 3200 nits, 480Hz touch sampling rate and wide DCI-P3 colour gamut. It also misses out on the POCO Shield Glass and gets the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which I prefer more.
On the rear, the phone touts a Dual camera setup with a primary 50MP main camera, which is the same Light Fusion 800 sensor we find in the Xiaomi 15 with 6P Lens without the Leica magic and a simple 8MP Ultra-wide camera. On the front, you’ll find a 20MP front facing camera.
As for the battery capacity, the phone uses a bigger 6000mAh battery with support for 90W HyperCharge. You do get the phone powered by HyperOS with their new HyperAI features, It features IP68, NFC, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and of course, stereo dual speakers.
Pricing and Availability
Poco F7 Pro will be priced at RM 2,299 for the 256GB and RM 2,499 for the 512GB – the RAM configuration remains the same at 12GB RAM for both the storage options. It gets better if you plan to pre-order – as the 256GB variant will go for RM 2,039 and 512GB goes for RM 2,139 for a limited time – till April 9th 2025.
