If you ever wanted a Spotify-like subscription for your eBooks and AudioBooks—because we know how expensive it can get—Kobo has unveiled its new plan. The Kobo Plus offers Unlimited eBooks and AudioBooks for a subscription fee. Honestly, this is a pretty good deal considering Malaysia misses out on Amazon Kindle (officially).
Kobo Plus Malaysia Subscription
Rakuten Kobo has been doing a fantastic job in tailoring services and products, and making products that potentially compete with Kindle and do better at it, which I am personally all in for. That said, the Kobo Plus subscription is an interesting plan to get onto for those who enjoy reading books or audiobooks. This encourages users to read more and enjoy the process without the need to worry about spending money on every book. That said, the Kobo Plus Malaysia plans come in three different offerings:
- You have the Kobo Plus Read, which gives you access to unlimited eBooks for just RM27 per month.
- If you only care about Audiobooks, then the Kobo Plus Listen is a good fit for users who prefer listening or who may have reading difficulties/disabilities, and the subscription plan costs the same, at RM27 per month.
- For users who want the best of both worlds, you have the Kobo Plus Read and Listen, again unlimited eBooks and audiobooks for RM35 per month (which is cheaper than combining two separate Read and Listen subscriptions).
You could use these subscriptions with Kobo’s eReaders like the Kobo Libra Colour, Kobo Clara Colour, Kobo Clara BW, Kobo Elipsa 2E and Kobo Sage. This subscription is a pretty huge game changer for users and is making me pretty tempted to ditch my Kindle for good and switch to Kobo. That said, these subscriptions have been available for a while now, and it’s time for you to get on that “over 2 Million eBooks and 300k audiobooks” bandwagon and enjoy your time in a world of stories.
