When you think of Razer, you think of Gaming Peripherals – and the thought of a vertical mouse is just non-existent. But earlier last week, they unveiled their new Pro mouse in two variations, but the one that caught our attention is the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition – which is going to be a great choice for users with wrist-issues (including myself).

Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition

The Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition is one of the two Razer Pro mice they have launched this month – for the most part, you are getting a similar experience which we will get into in a bit – but our eyes are on the Vertical Edition.

For starters, the angle is crucial and this mouse is angled at 71.7-degrees which is slightly higher than the 57-degrees you see with their competitors. But Razer is confident that the 71.7-degree mimics a natural handshake grip, which reduces the strain during longer use. The mouse features an extended thumb rest which helps with keeping the hands relaxed, base elevated and therefore, a better smoother movement.

Under the hood, you are looking at some gaming-centric hardware, starting with the Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, which claims to hit 99.8% accuracy in resolution. The mechanical switches offer up to 60 million clicks lifecycle, which is more than the average. While this mouse has a lot of that gaming aesthetics, including the multi-zone lighting with full underglow and support for Razer Chroma RGB, Razer has made this mouse to be a tool for precision tasks like work and designing too.

It supports a 5-way multi-device connectivity, including Razer HyperSpeed Wireless for low latency, lag-free and reliable performance while gaming and so on. It charges via USB-C, and with just a 5-minute charge, it can provide 2-3 days of use. If you are worried about the lighting consuming the battery, fret not, as it has a Smart Dimming Feature, which dims to conserve energy and prolong battery life.

If you are not a fan or looking for the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical edition, they have made a traditional Razer Pro Click V2, which is still ergonomical with a 30-degree tilted angle which gives a neutral pose and the contours on the mouse should give you the right grip experience you need. As for the hardware, it shares exactly the same as the Vertical Edition.

Pricing and Availability

Both the mice are available for purchase from Razer.com and Razer Store for RM 489 for the Click V2 and RM 589 for the Click V2 Vertical Edition. While the Vertical Edition is more widely available through Authorised Resellers, the normal V2 is only available exclusively through Razer Official.
