Acer launches a line of smarter laptops with Built-in AI starting from MYR 4350.
Unveiled at COMPUTEX 2025, the new Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI laptops are Acer’s answer to preparing the world with computing to support the AI needs of the future. These are not glorified Chromebooks with a Copilot sticker though. The new Aspire AI lineup is packed with next-gen processors (with processing options from Intel, AMD, and Snapdragon) that comes with Microsoft Copilot+ PC features baked right in.
Choices, choices, choices.
From Intel, the Aspire 14 & 15 AI laptops uses Intel® Core Ultra processors with Intel Arc™ graphics. Whereas from AMD you have the option of AI 300 Series with low power draw and serious multitasking muscle. The unconventional though can choose from Snapdragon’s X Series for all-day battery and quietly impressive performance.
Though all processing power choices are supported by 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB SSD, and Wi-Fi 7. Our eyes are on the Snapdragon models that provide up to 28 Hours of Battery life!
Sleeper build with future-proofed displays and ports galore
The build is surprisingly sleek with thin aluminum chassis for both models, with a 180° hinge. We really dig the minimalist design here. Both Aspire 14 and 16 models come with OLED WUXGA+ displays, boasting 500 nits peak brightness & 100% DCI-P3 color range for video & image editing.
One thing we love to see? Ports, as many as possible especially when it can be such a hassle to forget to bring along a portable port hub while travelling. There is no lack of ports on the Aspire 14 & 15 AI Laptops as they come with 2x USB Type-C, 2x USB-A, HDMI 2.1, MicroSD card reader, and our favourite a 3.5mm audio jack (Audiophiles rejoice!)
No news yet if the line will be launched in Malaysia or in the SEA region but it would be a welcome addition to potential future-proofed AI laptops that provides alot of value at different price points.
