This time around, Sony Malaysia has not only brought in their new Bravia TV lineup for 2025, which happens to coincide with Sony Expo 2025 happening at Mid Valley until the 6th June 2025 – they have brought in their first ever Sony Bravia 5 98” 4K MiniLED TV which truly aims to bring the Cinema home.

Coming at 98-inch, the Sony Bravia 5 98 Inch TV brings a world of wonder to home and Sony’s goal is to amplify the entertainment aspect of it – and this TV does not shy away from it. Depending on how you want to call it, the Sony Bravia 5 98” is their 4K MiniLED TV in their lineup, apart from the QD-OLED and other variants they have which is available under different series (which are also available at Sony Expo where you can check it out).
The 98” is definitely the type of TV you want to go for if you don’t prefer a projector that mimics the same dimensions because with amazing brightness and the colours popping, you can set it up in any room to enjoy the Sony Bravia 5 98 in anyway possible.
Powered by the XR Processor, you get all the XR magic it brings to the table like Backlight Master Drive which manages the exposure of your content and with the Studio Calibrated panel, you can watch content exactly the way its intended. For those IMAX fans out there, this Sony Bravia 5 is designed for IMAX Enhanced content and support for DTS and Dolby Vision/Atmos only seals the deal effectively. Since it’s a MiniLED Panel with 4K HDR capability – the immersion is going to be real.
Just like their previous Bravia 5 TVs, you get all the features we know such as Google TV, Sony Bravia Connect App to control from your smartphone, AirPlay2 and Google Cast support, and with the BRAVIA Cam, it helps with the brightness, sound and volume adjustment so you get the optimal experience from wherever you are seated. With Sony Pictures Core, Sony does provide content that can truly maximise the TVs potential too.
And not to forget, with HDMI 2.1, gaming on this Sony Bravia 5 98 is going to be – truly cinematic.
Pricing and Availability
The Sony Bravia 5 98 | Sony Bravia 5 98” 4K MiniLED TV is priced at RM 29,999. But if you happen to pre-order the TV from now until 6th of July 2025, you are entitled for a free BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9 worth RM 5,999, a Sony SA-SW5 300W Wireless Subwoofer worth RM 2,799 and register for the warranty by 30th September 2025 to get RM 300 TNG eWallet credit as well.
It gets better if you get the TV at Sony Expo because until 6th July, you can pick this very Sony Bravia 5 98 for RM 26,997 (which is RM 3,002 less than the SRP) and still be eligible to get the pre-order exclusive Soundbar and Subwoofer.
