Sometime starting from August, we anticipate the Fan Edition smartphone announcements from Samsung – and we have seen the Z Flip 7 FE, which was announced alongside the other foldables. But today, in a rather surprising announcement, there’s a new Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE earbuds which is added to their portfolio. With no pricing announced, it is coming to Malaysia in September.

Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE Malaysia

The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE takes the form of Buds3, which we saw last year, and features hardware that could entice many budget-centric users out there. Compared to the Galaxy Buds FE, the first-ever FE earbuds – the Bud3 FE get the same 1-way speaker setup and now support Custom EQ and 360 Audio, which the original Bud FE didn’t feature. With Gemini taking over Google Assistant, you can wake up Gemini Voice with the earbuds without the need to perform a workaround.

The battery life appears to be the same with ANC off (8.5/30 hours) and ANC on (6/24 hours). The Ingress Protection has been upgraded to IP54. As for the rest, you do get most of what we have seen in both the Buds FE, which has been moved over to the Buds3 FE. Since it is a Samsung-centric earbuds, you get the Galaxy Ecosystem experience in and out with it, like pairing is seamless, switching between devices should be easy and controlling the earbuds via the stems should feel the same as its predecessor.

With no news on pricing, we can only hope that it will be more affordable. However, when you can get the Buds3 Pro for as low as RM 400, how low will Samsung price these new Fan Edition earbuds? Well, we have to wait and see.
