The Kobo Clara Colour was announced in Malaysia in April 2024, with impressive improvements over the predecessor. This year, Rakuten Kobo announced a new Kobo Clara Colour in a Classic White Finish.

The Rakuten Kobo Clara Colour Classic White is no different from the existing Clara Colour we have available in the market. It uses the same cutting-edge eInk Kaleido 3 display in a 6” dimensions with nice vivid colours – and honestly, an ereader with colour makes a world of difference. On top of that, you get all the Kobo goodness, such as the ability to adjust brightness and colour temperature, annotate and organise your thoughts with the highlighting features, the ability to borrow books from the library with OverDrive support, IPX8 certification and all of that.
Just that, this time around, you get a Classic White finish – so the exterior of this Kobo Clara now features a new colour. So, if you prefer this white model over the black finish, then there you have it. As for the pricing, it’s still priced at RM 799 and will be made available starting from 23rd September 2025 onwards.
The accessories, like SleepCover, will be available in two options: for a pop of colour, you can go for their RM 155 cover. However, if you want the more basic SleepCover and Clear Case, that will set you back RM 95.
