Affinity is one of the applications creators have raved about over the years for its one-time license model, and it has truly helped a lot of creators out there. Back in 2024, we witnessed the acquisition of Affinity by Canva, and it has definitely shaken up the space for the better. And what appears to be a surprising move is: currently, you can own all the Affinity Apps on iPad for free – but act fast, because it seems like a limited-time thing.

How to Redeem Affinity Apps iPad for Free

There are three applications under the Affinity umbrella you should look out for: Affinity Photo 2, Affinity Publisher 2 and Affinity Designer 2. Head over to your App Store and download these apps, which you don’t have to pay for. Once you have done, launch the app one by one to do the following steps:

  • Sign up for an Affinity account, and once you do, it will prompt you to start a 7-day trial. Tap the 7-day trial.
  • Once you are done, tap the Account tab, look for the Buy Now button, and you should see the Affinity App showing 0 USD (or in the currency you are using, in our case it’s 0.00 MYR).
  • Tap Buy Now, and enter your credentials – and once you have, it’s purchased and verified and bound to your Affinity account.
  • And you are good to go. It should show “Your license is active and will never expire”.

Pretty straightforward – and what seems to be intriguing is that Serif is on to something here because if you head over to their website, they are about to either announce something really big on their own or perhaps something to do with Canva. We can only speculate on this, but whatever they intend to do will surely affect the creation space for the right reasons.

So, act fast. Thanks to artaherzadeh for sharing on Reddit.
