Predator Malaysia announced their new Predator Triton 14 AI gaming laptop, which really takes thin-and-light gaming to new heights. In fact, this laptop has the potential to be the talk of the town with its hardware and looks.

The Predator Triton 14 AI caught my attention for all the right reasons. You are looking at a 1.6kg laptop with 11 mm thickness that is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, though the TGP is clocked down to about 110W, it is still a properly powerful laptop in its class. The thing is, Predator seemed to have amped up the experience in every possible way, but giving some really good hardware past the processor and GPU.
You now have a 100% DCI-P3 coverage OLED WQXGA display, which is Calman Verified with a 120Hz refresh rate. As the name suggests, the 14 is indicative of the size of the display – so compact laptop users who want pretty powerful performance, rejoice! The other thing that caught our attention is the new trackpad implementation with lightbar on the sides, in fact, it is a huge haptic Corning Gorilla Glass touch pad with support for stylus (included) with support for 4096 pressure levels, proving ideal for writing, sketching and such.
The display is touch-enabled; however, it lacks stylus support, which is a bummer, but since this laptop is not a 2-in-1 or convertible, I’ll let it slide. The place where your palm rests on a laptop is where Predator is using a new set of speakers called Predator VOX, which we know little about, and something I’d like to look into when we review it.
Finally, for thermals in a laptop of this calibre is more important – and Predator didn’t cut back on that as they have included their industry-first graphene TIM for better efficiency and paired with the 6th Gen AeroBlade 3D, you should have a better thermal dissipation as well.
Priced at RM 12,999 – which is expected for specification like this, it comes in one configuration: with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. You can purchase the laptop from Acer eStore or via their authorised stores. But purchase the laptop before 27th November because you could get TnG eWallet credit worth RM 599 and a Predator Wireless Gaming Controller, which uses Hall Effect joysticks.
