The year was 1999, and Razer Boomslang made its debut with that iconic snake-head design and hardware that surpassed gaming hardware at that time. Fast forward, 20 years later, Razer revives the iconic mouse right in time for the anniversary. Say hello to the Razer Boomslang 20th Anniversary Edition, which is available as a limited edition and here’s what they have improved.
Razer Boomslang 20th Anniversary Edition
The Razer Boomslang 20th Anniversary Edition gets the following improvements from its original version in the hardware department, and we should share exactly how Razer shared it:

- Razer Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2: Hits up to 45,000 DPI with 99.8% resolution accuracy, delivering precision that far surpasses the original 2,000 DPI – a leap that defines two decades of progress.
- Razer HyperPolling Wireless Technology: True 8,000 Hz wireless polling rate ensures near-instant responsiveness, setting a new benchmark for speed in competitive play.
- Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4: Crisp, lightning-fast actuation with a 100-million-click lifespan for enduring reliability.
- Next-Gen Wireless Charging: The included Mouse Dock Pro marks a leap from the wired-only days of the original Boomslang to fully wireless charging. Engineered as a perfect companion to the mouse, it carries the same striking translucent design to deliver a unified aesthetic.
- True Ambidextrous Form with PU Leather Buttons: The legendary Boomslang silhouette, now enhanced with PU leather-wrapped primary buttons for an exquisite feel and enhanced grip control. Classic ergonomics meet modern refinements, delivering comfort and control for every playstyle.
- 9-Zone Razer Chroma™ RGB Lighting with Underglow: The Boomslang’s original translucent glow gets a next-level upgrade with vibrant, customizable RGB underglow. Customise each zone with 16.8 million colours and dynamic effects that sync with over 300 Chroma-integrated games.
- 8 Programmable Controls: Complete customisation through Razer Synapse, enabling advanced macros and personalised profiles for total control in every scenario.
Here’s the Catch

As much as anyone would want to own this bad boy, it’s going to be a tough one to obtain, as it is a collectors’ only product and will only see 1,337 unique serialised units all over the world. That said, there’s no pricing and availability information – but it’s said to be available in 2026. So, let’s wait and see what Razer is going to do then.
