If you think Ray-Ban Meta glasses with cameras embedded on the sides were cool, well, what Razer did is cooler and even more practical, too. Meet the Razer Project Motoko, which has cameras embedded into the headphones, and it’s powered by Snapdragon.

With wearables like Meta has its unique approach, the Razer Project Motoko combines two FPV cameras placed at the eye line on either side of the headset to give a natural viewpoint. And with AI assistants, personally, it works best with audio cues, and I am glad that incorporating with the headphones would mean you can hear your AI assistant instead of reading off your glasses, which can be distracting in certain situations.

We did mention AI, and yes, it’s not just supposed to help you with gaming but also with life-oriented tasks as well, like summarising things in a document, object detection, for livestream, and so much more. While our eyes have a limited FOV, Project Motoko’s idea is to be able to be your wider FOV set of eyes. The headphones will rely on dual near and far-field microphones for audio detection as efficiently as possible. As we mentioned earlier, this is pretty much going to be a hands-free device in the right way possible.

No pricing or availability at the moment, but it is supposed to come soon, and it works with Grok, OpenAI and Gemini. That’s good to know.
