While Virtual reality and Augmented reality has its own pros and cons, Virtual Screen devices have been taking the market by surprise, and XREAL is one company that seems to be doing a lot of things right. Pair that with ROG, and you get these ROG XREAL R1 Gaming glasses, which bring a different kind of gaming experience.
CES 2026 ROG XREAL R1 Gaming Glasses

Back in Computex 2025, we tried the ASUS AirVision M1, which was pretty cool on its own – you can watch our video here. The ROG XREAL R1 Gaming Glasses definitely do the same thing, but are more in tune with gaming. Micro OLED displays that can hit up to 240Hz, and can output display dimensions upto 171-inches in 4 meters and offers a 57-degree FOV. Interestingly, the speaker part of it is taken care of by Bose.

That said, the Glass connects via USB-C cable, which is pretty straightforward and can connect to your mobile devices and the ROG XBOX Ally X, which is a plug-and-play experience. Now, if you happen to connect to a much bigger device such as your desktop, you can take advantage of the Control Dock, which will come included and give you access to HDMI and DisplayPort for easier connectivity.

At the time of writing, ROG has not disclosed how much it would be priced at, and it’s something we will have to wait till Q2 2026, which coincidentally is when Computex 2026 is happening. So, we can wait and see what’s about to come.
