We are not even halfway through 2026, and we have seen some amazing announcements happening in the tech sphere. Clicks, the accessory brand that is famously known for reviving the physical keyboard for modern smartphones, has announced its first-ever smartphone, but is taking a totally different approach. Say hello to the Clicks Communicator, reinventing the BlackBerry idea for a more modern world.

Clicks Communicator

The Clicks Communicator brings back the physical QWERTY experience in 2026, and we are all in for it. The phone is designed to be a primary or companion device, which is a pretty good move. To get the hardware out of the way, under the hood, you have a 4,000mAh Silicon Carbon battery, which is a decent capacity. On the front, you will notice a 4.03” display, and since it already has a physical keyboard, the display is adequately sized for optimal usability.

Under the hood, we still don’t know what processor it will run on, which remains a mystery, but it comes with a physical SIM slot and support for eSIM with 5G connectivity. The built-in storage is capped at 256GB, but with the MicroSD card slot, you can expand it easily up to 2TB. The phone houses a rear 50MP OIS camera and a front 24MP camera. Users get access to a 3.5mm jack, Qi2 Wireless Charging and USB-C wired. It runs on Android 16 out of the box, with 2 years of Major OS updates and 5 years of Security updates.

Apart from that, the Clicks Communicator is really bringing a ton of good experiences. For starters, the entire QWERTY pad doubles as a swipe/touchpad, and the spacebar doubles as a fingerprint sensor. On the side, there’s a side key which can be customised to do a bunch of functions and acts as a Signal LED to indicate what the light means. Moments where you truly need your DND moment, there’s a kill switch on the other end.

Clicks partnered with Niagara Launcher to make this Message Hub launcher for the Clicks Communicator to create a distraction-free experience and truly a communication device. Finally, the Clicks Communicator has a fastback design, which can be customised as well.

At the time of writing, the Clicks Communicator is now available for pre-order for an early-bird price of $399 (SRP: $499) with the option to either pay in full and get 2 free back covers or put down a reservation deposit of $199 and pay the remaining closer to the launch.

We have placed our pre-order, and we are excited to get our hands on.
