Home entertainment isn’t limited to just televisions, and for those who truly want to enjoy a large-scale entertainment experience right in the comfort of their home, you have projectors. The new Epson Lifestudio Portable Smart Projectors are now available in Malaysia, with two models to choose from.

Epson Lifestudio Portable Smart Projectors

There are two series of Epson Lifestudio Portable Smart Projectors to choose from: the Epson Lifestudio Flex and the Epson Lifestudio Pop, catering to two different kinds of use case scenarios.

Starting with the Flex, this projector focuses on bringing versatility in the form of adaptability to any kind of space. Under the projector, you’ll find ambient lighting, which is cool to see (limited to Flex Plus), and with the built-in stand, you can tilt and adjust in whichever angle and direction you want for an optimal experience, all thanks to the auto keystone correction as well. Just like the Epiqvision projectors we saw last year, these do have Google TV baked right in for easy connectivity and usage right out of the box.

The audio in this projector is now powered by Bose, which is the first we have seen on an Epson projector. Available in two models: the Epson Lifestudio Flex EF-71 comes with a 1080p resolution with 700 lumens brightness, whereas the Epson Lifestudio Flex Plus EF-72 offers 1000 lumens brightness with a 4K PRO-UHD resolution.

Next up, there’s the Pop, which has a more traditional form factor, and it’s designed to be more lightweight and portable for you to bring it on the move, if necessary. It does come in these cute colours, which I am a fan of, as it takes away the boring projector looks we are all aware of. That said, these projectors are also available in two configurations: the Lifestudio Pop EF-61G is their 1080p model, whereas the Lifestudio Pop Plus EF-62N is the 4K PRO-UHD; however, both models are capped at 700 Lumens brightness.

All the projectors mentioned above use the Triple Core Engine projection technology, which comes with built-in Google TV and Chromecast with Sound by Bose, which appears to be standardised.

As for pricing, the Epson Lifestudio Portable Smart Projectors are priced as follows:

  • Epson Lifestudio Pop:

    • Pop Plus EF-62N – RM 4,099
  • Epson Lifestudio Flex:
    • Flex EF-71 – RM 4,159
    • Flex Plus EF-72 – RM 5,099
