January marks the launch of Xiaomi’s coveted mid-tier smartphone lineup, which has taken the world by storm with its affordable price-to-value ratio. The REDMI Note 15 Series Malaysia launch announces four models in different price brackets to appeal to various consumers.
REDMI Note 15 Series Malaysia
The REDMI Note 15 Series begins with their entry to mid-tier smartphone and it is the REDMI Note 15 itself, priced at RM 799 and exclusively available through Online stores. This particular model comes in 8GB RAM with 256GB storage configuration with a 6000mAH battery under the hood, MediaTek Helios G100-Ultra processor and a 108MP camera on the rear. It doesn’t shy away from IP protection as it offers a decent IP64 for its price point. The other thing worth noting is that, this is the only 4G model in the lineup.
Then you have the REDMI Note 15 5G which has the same outer shell as the other 15, though the big difference happens to be in the cellular bands, processor and battery. Powered by a 5520mAh battery with Snapdragon 6 Gen, and will be available in two configurations: the 6GB with 128GB going for RM 849 and 8GB with 256GB going for RM 949.
Moving up the ladder is where things get a whole lot interesting. This is where their more premium mid-tier REDMI smartphones exist. Both the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G and REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G does share a lot of similarities. You are getting their 4th generation 200MP camera with a 1/1.4” large sensor for better details. The phone gets the best ingress protection at IP69K which means, it can withstand submersion in different temperatures, more specifically high temperature.
The REDMI Titan Structure is the main focus as it brings a better frame to the phone for durability and shock protection to the components, so that the phone doesn’t take a huge hit in long term usage. Powering both the phones are the new Silicon Carbon batteries which is the first we are seeing on a REDMI phone.
Apart from that, the specification varies. The REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra with 8GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB storage under the hood. It gets a 6580mAh battery with 45W Fast Charging, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a 6.83” CrystalRes AMOLED display at 1.5K resolution.
The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 with 12GB RAM and storage configuration of 256GB or 512GB depending your preference. The battery capacity varies a little at 6500mAh, but the remaining stay the same as the 15 Pro 5G.
Pricing and Availability
As for the pricing, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is going for RM 1699 for 256GB and RM 1899 for 512GB, whereas the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G is priced at RM 1399 for 256GB and RM 1599 for 512GB. Both the phones are available for pre-order starting 16th January until 21st January 2026 and consumers who pre-order during this time, will also receive a Redmi Pad SE 8.7” with cover worth RM 748 as a gift. Honestly, what a deal.
That’s not all, both models will be available for a free storage upgrade from 256GB to 512GB, which means – you will be paying the price of 256GB to get 512GB for a limited time.
